Position Summary:

As an Accounting Specialist in the aircraft management operation of Jet Aviation you will primarily be responsible for processing invoices for our managed aircraft. These invoices are to be received and processed with accuracy, on a timely manner in our A/P system You will be expected to resolve vendor issues related to fuel uplifts supporting our US aircraft management fleet

Main Responsibilities:
  • Code and approve vendor invoices.
  • Request, research and resolve invoice and any related discrepancies/disputes.
  • Verify that all aircraft related expenses are coded to the correct G/L accounts.
  • Verify that all aircraft related expenditures are approved per contract/client.
  • Compile and verify required information to submit client monthly billing package and interim invoices.
  • Interact with and support clients/account managers with information as needed and requested.
  • Participate in potential or existing client meetings to address accounting related questions.
  • Maintain correct and updated files for each managed aircraft/client's customer portal site.
  • Ensure trip sheet information and flight hours are accurately recorded. • Collect data to prepare annual budgets for assigned managed aircrafts.
  • Upload approved budgets into reporting system and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and record various monthly journal entries.
  • Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Assist in monthly financial reporting package preparation.
  • Ensure, adhere, and comply with the best practices and procedures as established by Jet policies.
  • Special projects or other duties may be assigned to support the business unit.

Minimum Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform office or non-manual essential duties satisfactorily.   • Must be able to pass a ten year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Associate's degree in accounting or finance with accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective follow-up on assigned tasks.
  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Excel to create and maintain various schedules.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office, and Word to produce emails and professional letters.
  • Operational knowledge of Outlook is required.
  • Must be accurate and proficient in data entry.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
